Oenos barrel bungs Oenos barrel bungs are Australian made high quality, food grade 100% silicon with no fillers. The design allows the bung to fit barrels with both No 1 and No 2 bungs holes. Made in three styles for your convenience
When you receive your new bungs and before use, we suggest they be washed in a mild detergent solution followed by a light citric acid rinse to remove any grime and smells from transport and packaging. When putting together the fermentation bung body and "mushroom’ wet parts with a mild detergent solution and the parts will push together easily. Check the bung body to ensure no bonus pieces are left behind from the moulds that may prevent correct sealing. Once screwed firmly in place in a barrel you will never hqve to do the morning rounds again to pick up bungs from the floor and drains, so protecting your valuable wines during ferment, malo or long term storage and saving you time to do more valuable jobs. |
