Caustic Soda – ( Pearl form ) Also known as Sodium hydroxide is used predominately to remove potassium bitartrate in stainless steel tanks. Usually mixed with water to a 1% – 2% solution and spray balled into tanks. A clean water rinse, followed by a citric acid rinse and another clean water rinse is needed before the tank is ready for use.
