Destainex NCP1 was developed following requests by many wineries for an odourless, effective, biosafe and more environmentally friendly hard and porous surface cleaning and destaining product.

The current practice for most wineries to remove wine stain from concrete floors and oak has been to use an oxidising agent occasionally in conjunction with a phosphated surfactant, mostly in the form of chlorine or chlorinated products which are readily available and low in cost.

Whilst the use of chlorine has been effective, the liquid and vapours given off in use have been:

• Hazardous to workers whilst in use, usually in confined and enclosed areas such as barrel warehouses.
• Potentially tainting to wine being barrel decanted whilst in proximity of the cleaning.
• The chlorinated liquid wastes are environmentally degrading.
• Corrosive to metals and concrete and epoxy resin coated floors.

DESTAINEX NCP 1 provides an effective response to the problems of using chlorine, coupled with a lower cost in use. Every component of this product has been selected to satisfy Workplace Health issues and environmental concerns, whilst giving excellent results. Wastewater may be discharged to direct to the sewers without any known current or projected restriction relating to this product
