OAK RESTORER NTP 5 OAK RESTORER NTP 5 (COLD WATER FORMULA) was developed on request from winemakers who wanted an effective cold water solution to remove tartrate, colour and protein, which would not strip the oak characteristics from their barrels as very hot water (780°C) was known to do.In the past, apart from very hot water, there had been virtually no process provided to remove the tartrate and protein from the internal walls of oak barrels, vats and staves without permanently tainting the oak. Having already developed a hot water oak restorer and cold water stave soaking product in OAK RESTORER NTP 3, the project was undertaken. OAK RESTORER NTP 5 was designed to quickly remove wine tartrate crystals from protein from the oak without charring and tainting, leaving the wood odour the same as it had began. As with our other Wine Industry cleaning chem-specialities, every component of this product has been selected to satisfy Workplace Health issues and environmental concerns, whilst giving excellent service. Wastewaters may discharge direct to the sewers without any known current or projected restriction relating to this product. Cleaner wastes can also be tank contained and viably re-processed to recover the tartrates. |
