GECOLL SUPRA 95

Gecoll Supra 95 is a liquid gelatine made from very pure raw material. Gecoll Supra 95 has a high surface charge density. Initially targets aggressive and astringent tannins, then other tannins. Softens wines with aggressive tannins such as red pressings. Combines with Siligel for white wines.


Dosage: 40 to 100 mL/hL

1 - PROPERTIES:

Ä Excellent, rapid clarifying and stabilising action:

In fining trials, turbidity decreased by 77% on average after 24hr, by 86% after 48hr and by 90% after 72hr.

Ä Improves taste of wines in two ways:

- By stabilising and enhancing tannins providing body and suppleness to the wines

- By fixing and removing those tannins considered the most aggressive and astringent.

Ä Respects aromatic expression of wine due to its great pureness:

The high quality of the raw material used to produce Gecoll Supra 95 makes it possible to obtain a very fine clarification which is highly neutral with regard to the aromatic expression of wine.

 

2 - APPLICATION:

Gecoll Supra 95 is particularly recommended for stabilising and clarifying:

Ä Red wines for ageing

Ä Rosé and nouveaux wines

Ä Dry and sweet white wines, in combination with bentonite, tannins or Siligel.

It can also be used curatively on wines that are too tannic.

3 - DOSAGE:

Average dose: .4 – 1.0 ml/litre

4 - Instructions for USE:

Ä Treatment in barrels:

Dissolve the required amount of Gecoll Supra 95 in 250 ml of water. Then pour solution into wine to be treated while stirring briskly.

Ä Treatment in vats:

Gecoll Supra 95, either pure or diluted 1:1 w/w in water, is added progressively to the total volume of wine during pumping over to ensure even distribution. Our OENODOSEUR is very useful for this step.

The clear wine is racked after sedimentation.

Filtration is possible 48hr after fining.

Should be stored at room temperate, since Gecoll Supra 95 may gel below 5°C.
