Isolated by ICV from the Rhone Valley and specifically selected for the fermentation of grenache. A killer strain, quick starting steady fermenter to 15 percent (v:v) alcohol. Low production of volatile acid and esters but higher production of caproate, caprylate, laurate etc. which reinforces the fruit aroma of grenache.
